About Us

KE Design Studio designed a very beautiful, comfortable, and functional kitchen for our home. The remodel was for a very large space, which included an expansive center island. As the kitchen is the heart of our home, their design not only included a very functional working space, (we are avid cooks), but also created a comfortable flow for alot of entertaining. Along with the kitchen, KE Designs converted the orignal laundry room to a butlers pantry/bar area. This room included a second dishwasher, and bar sink that has been ideal for entertaining. KE Design will go outside the box, with innovative and creative kitchen and bath ideas!

We found KE Design Studio and Sydney Doulames because we had decided on Brookhaven cabinets, and they're the closest Wood-Mode / Brookhaven rep. We couldn't be happier. Our project is a bit different from most because we're doing it in phases rather than all at once, which requires flexibility and patience on the part of both parties. Our kitchen is basically U-shaped w/ a peninsula separating the K from the DR. We'd originally planned to keep the same basic lay-out, but move the peninsula a foot twd the DR to widen the K, and to replace the slide-in range w/rangetop and wall ovens. Then came "Sydney's Revolution", that is, demo the peninsula and install an island instead, i.e. revolve the penisula 90 degrees and center it. KE Design Studio prepared drawings and a floor plan of how it will look. It's not only going to be more open, but we're gaining so much more counter and storage space. Further, the contractor who works with KE Design Studio works with several kitchen designers. He told my Sydney always has the best looking designs -- and he wasn't playing up to her, as she wasn't there when he said it. We're very pleased we discovered KE Design Studio and Ms. Doulames, and their contractor. We'll provide photos when the project is complete. Update: The value of our project is now over $50K, as we're pleased with how it looks, and are expanding the scope.

Besides being talented, creative and knowledgeable Sydney is super down to earth, patient and very easy to work with. I initially contacted KE Design Studio to help me sort out my ideas I had for remodeling and updating my open floor plan that included my kitchen, dining and living area. Sydney and her colleague Victor spent countless hours with us to design a remodel of the front of our house (kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and 2 bathrooms). They also exceeded expectations by helping us choose and in some cases purchase appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc., etc. Their knowledge, experience, and taste in home remodeling are exceptionally good. They are an absolute pleasure to work with, and we would recommend them to anyone.

Sydney and Judy were extremely professional and helpful with the remodel of our laundry room and second guest bathroom. We chose white Springfield recessed Brookhaven cabinetry. Judy came up with a great design based on pictures I had shown her as a template. She picked the hardware for me which I love. The cabinets look beautiful and I know the quality to be exceptional. The ladies were very responsive throughout the entire process.

KE Designs provided us with follow through during our entire project. Jeff was on top of every issue that came up during this 10 week remodel. He was a great task master working with all of the multiple parties that were involved in a very large project. I was very pleased with his responses, his ability to create movement when things stalled and his positive and fun attitude. Jeff took into consideration our entire project scope and was able to secure materials such as flooring and custom made pantry doors that made a huge difference. I loved the idea of the open floating shelves so as not to have a wall of cupboards. Sydney and Jeff both suggested using a previous footprint from the old kitchen sink to add a prep sink into our oversize island. There is NO wasted space within the design. We chose all of our options and created our drawers to match our everyday cookware sizes. It was truly customized to meet the needs of our family and two very active young children. We learned quickly they wouldn't be able to reach the built in refrigerator, Sydney quickly suggested a wine fridge that doubles as a kids fridge for snacks and drinks. The microwave drawer is brilliant for smaller children and makes every day tasks like oatmeal easy to do. We LOVE the finishes of quartz counters, custom lighting and touch faucets. I am in love with our finished project and with Jeff's diligence it was better than we could have hoped.

We just completed building our first home and a top priority was quality cabinetry with a durable finish. We love to entertain and our dream was to have a large kitchen that would be the center of all the social gatherings. Our architect highly recommended Kitchen Encounters Design Center. After interviewing several companies we went with KE Design because of their quality products and personalized service. Their designers spent countless hours creating the main kitchen and “party room” kitchenette/bar. They assisted with hardware, appliances and lighting that would work well with the overall plan. We were so pleased with the functional and beautiful layouts that we added a buffet, two entertainment centers, wardrobes, pantry/laundry room and five bathrooms to our contract. The designers accompanied us to many showrooms to select unique granite, quartz, Eurostone and travertine for counter tops and back splashes that complemented our traditional style. The cabinetry added much needed storage space to our home and took the place of furniture that would have been a less effecient use of space. The designers were by our side to the very end, making sure all the installation was completed to perfection. KE Design made our house a beautiful home and we cannot recommend their team more highly.
